This weekend I did a little shopping for some items for our bedroom. I was looking for a new duvet with some more depth and texture.
I also wanted something that would hide those dreaded wrinkles. Ironing a duvet is not my kind of fun!

Some options I found
Beautiful huh?
It was a tough decision. I originally bought the DKNY duvet from Bed Bath and Beyond but decided against it once I saw it in our room. Just seemed t0o busy.
I like the West Elm’s price point but the quality was just not up to par.
The Nordstrom and Anthropologie duvets I couldn’t see in person as they are both online only. Hate that…so I ended up buying the Pottery Barn Hadley. I really like it! I’m just a little nervous on the softness level though. My husband loves soft bedding and it doesn’t seem too soft so we’ll see if it passes his test tonight.
Here’s a little before & after
Notice more fullness? I actually put two down comforters inside. A little trick I never knew of until my bestie Melissa mentioned it! Thanks girl!
Obsessed with this pillow. I saw it on a couple of blogs and searched everywhere for it. Can you believe this is from Target!?!
And for your viewing pleasure heres a before picture of our bedroom right before the remodel. Please excuse the mess we were in the process of moving out, we really aren’t this messy!
Hi Lizzie,
I wanted to tell you how much I am enjoying your fabulous blog. Your rockin it out girl and I wanted to thank you for including my bedroom in your post today!
I can’t wait to see all of the changes you make to the house.
By the way…love the West Elm duvet we have. Oxy Clean is my best friend and no iron required!

I love the multi-sided silver mirror you got at Home Goods; it’s my dream mirror. My friend has it in her house, too, and I can’t find it anywhere. Is there an SKU on the back that I could use to track it down? Thanks and great work on your blog. –Liz B.
what is the grey color on your bedroom walls with the new bedding? I’ve been looking at painting mine grey

Do you gave any suggestions/ideas for using an oval, rusty, vintage pot rack in a bedroom? I have one that I got at an antique store and would love to use it in a bedroom instead of the kitchen.
Hi Lizzie,
I found your blog and am currently renovating my entire house. I am dying to know where you got the mantle above your bed, this is the vision I had for my master.
thank you!
Lauren
Thank you so much! My husband made it.
