Check out my baby shower feature on On to Baby

Well now that I’m officially on maternity leave, I hope to get the nursery completed before our little one makes her arrival. I’ve already gotten so much completed but now I’m at a huge stop because the crib I finally decided on has been back ordered since July!
Ugh I really hope it gets here soon, they are now saying August 17th so keep your fingers crossed.
Anyway, I think I’ve kept you in the dark long enough, here are some sneak peeks of the nursery.
Oh! and thank you all for the paint color feedback, we ended up going with “Lighter Mint” by Sherwin Williams and it was the exact color I was looking for.

Hi All!
July 1st was my baby shower, and I wanted to share with you the pretty photos that were taken by the lovely Michele Beckwith
I absolutely loved how everything turned out and I definitely couldn’t have done it without my sister in law and besties!

My gorgeous besties!

My beautiful sister in law with her custom onesie for baby girl.

Seriously obsessed with the cake topper.

Just some of the amazing ladies that attended the shower.

My mommy and mommy in law

Presents for baby girl!

Oh and not shower related but I love this shot she got of the living room, makes me seriously want the entire house professionally photographed!

My close friends know but most of you don’t…I have the worst time making decisions!
Especially when it comes to ordering something online and potentially not being able to return it.
So it’s unfortunate that all the cribs I like are online only. Really great!
I’ve narrowed it down to 3 and now it’s decision making time, because I really want to get this nursery done before she comes…here’s hoping!
The first option is the Olivia by Baby Mod
I like the modern clean lines, not loving the dark base, so I most likely will end up painting it.

Next is the Hudson by Babyletto
Again love the clean lines, but do you think it’s girly enough. Maybe it’s just the name thats throwing me off.

And my final option would be the Jenny Lind. It’s classic, it’s feminine, and I love the idea of throwing modern bedding with the vintage feel.

So basically the overall feel I want for the nursery, is not matchy matchy but more of an eclectic, modern mixed with vintage pieces.
The other pieces I have in there right now, is an antique dresser and the Ikea Expedit bookshelf. I’m just torn where to go with the crib… I love both styles equally.
So of course the only rational thing to do is blog about it and hopefully get some feedback from you guys, that always seems to help this crazy indecisive girl.
Thank you in advance : )
We did it! We successfully remodeled our guest bathroom in just over a month.
Special thanks to my amazing husband for his hard work, late nights and determination.
I’m in awe of you.
So in case you forgot, this is what we’ve been living with for the past 5 years.

and now for the amazingness!!

So happy we went with a pocket door, it completely opens up the space.

Paint color is Benjamin Moore Horizon 1478

Love this mirror and it was such a steal at Lowes

We went with a ceramic subway tile because I just love how the light reflects off of it. Plus it’s super durable and easy to clean.

To add a some glamour to this tiny bathroom we opted for this gorgeous crystal chandelier that I found on Overstock

So there you have it, our little guest bathroom got a brand new look. I seriously couldn’t be happier and can’t wait for baby girl to take her first bath in here.
Hi!!
Wow I can’t believe it’s been almost a month since my last post.
I apologize for such a long absence, it’s just been so crazy over here.
We (mainly the husband) have been working on the bathroom every night and weekend to get it done before the baby shower on July 1st! yikes! We have one week left and still have a good amount to get finished.
paint bathroom & hallway walls and trim
seal tile and grout
install shower trim
install toilet
install pedestal sink
install faucet
hang mirror
install vanity and chandelier light
finish electrical (fan, switches etc)
install door hardware
install shelves
install towel and tissue fixtures
Woo!! Did I forget anything?
Anyway here are some progress shots so you can see what we’ve been up to.

We decided to open up the wall to install a pocket door, which has made a huge difference for the space.

Here it is all framed up and installed. I love it!

So here we got the tub in, insulation in, and are starting to drywall.

The drywall going up has made a huge difference, now we could really visualize it!

Day 2 of tile install! (I’m saving the finished tile for the reveal)

And now today has been all about paint, Left to Right: Wickham Gray, Horizon and Moonshine all Benjamin Moore colors. We actually already primed the walls, tinted to Horizon so that’s why you can barely see it.

We are painting tonight so I’ll surprise you with the color I chose ; )
Oh and by the way I’m 30 weeks as of yesterday! Yeee!!
Here’s a belly shot from week 29

Hope you all enjoy your weekend! Wish us luck on wrapping this bathroom up! My poor husband will be busy all weekend ; )
I’m a little behind on my weekly belly shots.
I’m actually 26 weeks as of yesterday but here’s some shots from last weekend while we were in Carmel celebrating our 2 year anniversary.

and some cute shots of the husband

BTW I finally decided on a paint color for the nursery and we finished painting it last night! Once I clean it all up I’ll post some photos.
Have a fabulous Memorial Day weekend!
