Hey peeps! Hope you all had a fab weekend.
Yesterday my bestie Melissa and I hit up the Alameda Point Antiques Faire
Love this place! This is my third time going and It’s so much fun, if you are interested it’s every first Sunday of the month. Bring lots of cash and wear comfortable shoes, because it’s exhausting but there are so many awesome finds.
I was on the lookout for a antique bar cart, brass bamboo tray, antlers, and any other yummy finds.
My bestie scored big! She found an awesome chandelier, vintage metal basket, a gorgeous trellis pillow and black antique chair.
I on the other hand am a bit picky on where I spend my money. As much as I love everything and would buy everything at the faire. I have to be realistic on what would work in the amount of space we have in our little home.
But I am very happy with my little finds, like these awesome antlers
and these cute little gold striped glasses
Pretty excited to display these sparkling beauties on the new bookcase.
I also have big plans for the antlers which involve a little can of spray paint.
So has anyone else hit up the Faire lately? Find any goodies?
Did you know my home has a wish list?
A very long one too! Which I’m sure you all have as well.
If only we had all the money in the world to buy everything we need / want, right?
so here are just a few things on my wish list for the house
a pretty glass coffee table. I’ve been lusting over this beauty for some time now, and I think I found a pretty good deal on one off eBay.
My lonely bookcase will soon need some pretty books to adorn it.
as well as a cute pair of foo dogs
so true. must have this.
this would look perfect in our bedroom. I love the gold and white.
I know I know it’s freezing outside, but I just love this bench. Seriously been staring at it for over 6 months.
Sometimes I just need to take the plunge on purchases instead of scouring the internet to find the best deal. It’s a serious addiction I have. Good for others but time consuming for me. haha
Hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving, we shared it with great family and friends as well as food…stretched our leftovers out over 2 days, and had another Thanksgiving with friends on Friday. I don’t even want to know what the scale has in store for me.
Look what I got in the mail today…
I really wasn’t lying when I said I wanted to redo all my throw pillows in this new gorgeous fabric line by Caitlin Wilson. The hard part is deciding on which pattern.
I’m just obsessed with each and every one of these! Ahhh
Here are the two combinations I’ve narrowed it down to.
I could stick with my current color scheme of light blue, yellow and gray, Which I still love but I think I might be ready for a change. And if I’m going to purchase all new pillows, I might as well change it up, right?
and now for some ghetto “photoshopping”
I was really drawn to the navy in this fleur chinoise fabric and there is something so lovely about the pops of pink.
But will the husband really let me bring pink into the mix. This might be a little tricky. He’s already told me he feels like he’s living in my house as opposed to our house. poor guy. I tell him do you want to know what your house would look like if you decorated it. Then he gets it.
So now that you’ve seen my options, which one is your fave?
It’s no surprise I love a good rug, and it’s no surprise I love a good Overstock rug. You really can’t beat their prices.
Here are some I’m loving right now
The wait is finally over. Well at least it is for me.
I love Caitlin Wilson’s blog, her style is unreal.
She finally launched her fabric line, CWD Textiles and it is to die for.
I’ve already planned to redo all my throw pillows in her new gorgeous fabric.
And the best part is, her pillow covers are super reasonable priced.
Gotta love that.
Let the shopping begin!
Hope you all had a lovely weekend.
I’ve been lusting over this bookshelf and have been thinking about it all weekend. I must have it.
Right now we have zero shelf space in our living room, so I have no area to display my books and décor pieces.
So like I said…I must have this.
time to convince Ryan.
You can’t really beat the $399 price tag over at Home Decorators.
Etsy has seriously opened up the world to a plethora of amazing throw pillows.
As you may or may not know, I’m not one to pass up a bold print.
So for your viewing pleasure, here are some of my current faves.
source, source, source, source, source, source, source, source, source, source, source, source, source, source, source, source
I mean who wouldn’t! Look at all this gorgeousness
traditional mixed with modern. bold prints. splashes of color. pretty much everything I dream about at night.
Happy “hump” day!
I did some Home Goods window shopping last weekend.
How do you like to window shop? Do you always buy at least one item before you leave the store?
Normally I browse around the whole store looking at everything, taking pictures as I go so I don’t forget certain pieces I’m drawn too. Then I do another round, it seems like I always find new things during my second round. Is it like that for you too? It’s like I need a minute to let it all soak in.
My key for window shopping is NEVER grab a cart. I hate carts. I prefer to carry my items, it also gives me time to think about the purchase while I’m lugging it around the store. I think about where I would put it, is it worth the cost, do I have 10 other items similar to it. you know? The crucial things. haha
Here are some goodies I saw, but unfortunately I left empty handed. Sometimes I think it’s better to browse more than you buy, plus it’s nicer on the wallet too.
Have a great weekend!
